Trivia Royale — how to play, categories, and scoring
Trivia Royale is a multiple-choice quiz game for 1–20 players in which each player or team has 20 seconds to answer a four-option question, earning 100 points per correct answer and a 50-point bonus while on a streak of three or more.

Most trivia apps either drown you in questions nobody can answer or serve up the same twenty facts you have already heard. Trivia Royale is 2,600 hand-written questions across ten categories, each with at least sixty questions, sorted into three difficulty tiers so a match can actually ramp.
The scoring is what makes it a party game rather than a quiz. A correct answer is 100 points, but three in a row unlocks a streak and every subsequent correct answer is worth 150 while the streak survives. One wrong answer — or one hesitation past the twenty-second bar — kills it, publicly, in front of everyone.
Every reveal ends with a fun fact, so the arguments that break out after a contested question tend to resolve themselves. Play free-for-all with the phone going round the table, or split into Team Blaze and Team Frost.

How to play Trivia Royale
Play free-for-all (pass the phone, every brain for itself) or split into two teams.
Pick your categories and difficulty, then choose a 10, 15 or 20 question match.
On your turn you get 20 seconds — tap one of the four answers before the bar runs dry.
Correct = +100 points. Hit 3 in a row and every correct is worth +150 while the streak lives 🔥 — a wrong answer or a timeout kills it.
Fat-fingered it? Tap Undo and answer again. Question worded badly? Flip the call — scores and streak bonuses re-do themselves.
Every reveal comes with a fun fact, so you lose arguments AND learn something.
Highest score after the final question takes the crown. The recap lets you fix any call (or nudge a score) before you crown anyone.
Scoring and winning
- A correct answer scores 100 points.
- Three correct in a row starts a streak. While it lives, every correct answer is worth 150.
- A wrong answer, or the 20-second timer expiring, scores nothing and ends the streak.
- Questions are dealt easy to hard, so late questions decide the match.
- Highest total after the final question wins — podium, confetti, bragging rights.
Trivia Royale strategy and tips
- Answer at around fifteen seconds, not five. There is no speed bonus, so the only thing rushing buys you is a broken streak.
- Protect a live streak on hard questions by eliminating two options first. The 50-point bonus is worth more than the question itself.
- In team mode, nominate one person to tap. Four hands over one phone has ended more streaks than any hard question.
- Pick categories your group is genuinely uneven on. A match where everyone knows the same amount is a much duller match.
- Mixed difficulty is the best default — it starts gently and gets brutal, which keeps late-game comebacks possible.
- Read the fun fact out loud. It settles arguments and it is the reason people remember the questions afterwards.
Variants and house rules
Free-for-all
Every player for themselves, phone passed around. Best with four to eight people.
Team Blaze vs Team Frost
Two teams, alternating turns. Better for large groups and for mixing strong and weak players.
Category draft
House rule: each player bans one category before the match. The remaining pool is the one nobody could veto, which produces surprisingly fair games.
Hard mode
Lock difficulty to Hard for the whole match. The library carries enough hard questions across every category to sustain a full twenty-question game.
Solo run
One player, twenty questions, mixed difficulty. Chase your own high score — the streak bonus makes a perfect run worth well over 2,000 points.

How many trivia questions are there?
2,600 in total, with at least 260 in each of the ten categories. The app tracks what you have seen so questions stay fresh across a long session.

How does the streak bonus work?
Answer three in a row correctly and every correct answer after that is worth 150 instead of 100. A single wrong answer or timeout resets you to zero.
How long do you get to answer?
Twenty seconds, shown as a draining bar. There is no bonus for answering quickly, so use the time.
Can you play trivia alone?
Yes. Solo is a supported mode and works well as a single-player quiz — pick twenty questions on mixed difficulty and chase a high score.
Is it family-friendly?
Entirely. The trivia library is written family-safe throughout, so the global spice setting does not affect it at all.
